MAXINE WINS AGAIN!posted by: Sueclarke, 29th Nov, 2011 9:18am

Maxine Rawnsley of Pukekohe won the Intermediate class of the Beef Herdsperson competition at Canterbury A&P Show held in November. Now a Murray Grey member in her own right, along with sister Roxanne, Maxine was helping Kaipoi exhibitors George and Glenda Climo with their Show team.
Maxine was the youngest competitor in the Intermediate, 13 to 17 year old age group. She was placed first in the handling section, 2nd in the judging section and following an interview was placed Overall first place.
At the Waikato Royal Show held at the end of October the sisters were successful with their entry in the Senior Cow and calf class, Koromiko Grenelda A10
It is great to see the passion for Murray Greys, entering the third generation. Maxine follows in the footsteps of her mother Catherine Rawnsley and grandfather Gary Allen in her passion and ability in handling beef cattle, both of whom are still active in both judging and preparation of stud beef cattle of several breeds, for the Show and Sale rings..
